Last Sunday, i was late for training not because i overslept... i met kaihong n the rest to visit weicheng's mum.... its really not easy to get over the loss over a very caring, responsible and hard working son... i can still feel the pain the mother is going thru but we all gotta stay strong... time will heal all wounds... its just how fast n slow it will takes to recover..
her mother showed us some photos of weicheng with his army friends going bangkok awhile ago... then brought us to weicheng's room... look at all his belongings.... her mother didnt know that weicheng have a diary... and we hope weicheng dun mind us reading his diary... every entry weicheng wrote... he will say wat are the things he need to improve on n wat he did correctly... alot of reflections... no doubt in real life weicheng is really a positive person that overcome fears n barriers to push himself higher...
so here kaihong would like to conclude that....
AND THE FULL SUM HAS BEEN HANDED TO MDM CHEE.
Kindly contact my team-mates and myself only with exceptional requests.
Your contributions have greatly moved me, especially from those who were barely acquainted with Wei Cheng. When news of the tragedy first broke out, I was put off by some of the cold and unfeeling comments left on various forums, but these recent weeks have shown me that the people who matter most to us are those who care, and are willing to reach their hands out to do something about it.
The total sum raised has surpassed all our expectations. We did not organise this with the intentions of playing out as a media circus, and have been successful thus far. The last thing we need now would be excessive publicity on this, so we seek your understanding in keeping this information to within this small group of friends and family members who have helped out in this hard time. With this common understanding, I’m pleased and heartened to let you know that $9,102 was collected in all. If you are keen to take a look at the figures or list of donations, please contact me personally through SMS or email.
On behalf of my team-mates, I thank you for your contributions, and for your complete trust in us. I would like to show my appreciation to Allen, Alvin, Chin Long, Leonard, Woonhowe, who have put in effort to organise this. Finally, to the many others who have helped to spread the word through friendster, facebook, email, blogs etc, thank you too.
On a very personal note, I hope this to be a form of closure to the tragic incident in Cambodia, at least for the Chee family. He will never be forgotten, but neither should we linger in this nightmare for long. Let us all wish for his family to carry on with their lives as best they can.
Cheers,
Kai Hong
