how i wish from now till i ord my camp can just remain how it is like now..... i completed another book... veronika decides to die by paulo coelho... he is a very famous brazilian author who wrote the alchemist. this book once again reminded us how we should release out very inner soul n do something that u always wanted to do but somehow something is forbidding u... the story is about this pretty young girl leading a perfect life; loving family, smart girl, plenty of boyfriends, stable job... yet she felt something lacks in her life... she decided to take sleeping pills and end her die... but her suicidal attempt failed n she woke up in the hospital. she was told by the doctor that her heart is badly damaged n she left with only few days left.... upon this bad news, she realised she is a hospital with mad people around her! well maybe not everyone is exactly mad but she discovered her real self as she interacts with the ppl around her... the story is very touching and i recommend those who thinks that their life is very boring... the storyline twist so amazingly just at the last 5 pages n got me WOW the rest of the day...
currently reading a book that i always wanted to read.... blue ocean strategy... ultra nice! i am half way done... gonna complete on monday...
i am addicted to reading once more... cant believed how many books i read for the past few months... record breaking sia! hahaa... somehow i realised... biz books are like damm nice book to read... i always thought like biz is boring n stuff... oh man.. if only i have chosen biz instead of biotech in poly...
been flipping papers n listening to radio... everyone is making a big huha over the principal telling the students they might as go ITE.... let me just share some of my thoughts....
i nv touched N level exam papers before until i went to do relief teaching at the school around my neighbourhood... the english paper is soooo easy n there is even multiple choice! how can u get it wrong!? hence i was thinking... N level n O level is really a very big leap... on top of that... i taught a few classes social studies n english (yes i know my eng sucks but i was teaching them some technique to answer paper 2 which my sec4 eng teacher peter tan taught me n i got B4 instead of a FAIL!!!) the students were all so lost... they dun even know how to do it n so not motivated at all... then i start asking some of them why they not putting any effort... they replied.. aiya our teacher also dun care abt us... i felt a culture shock here... back in st gabs only students dun care but not teachers... i am so glad that i was taught by the best teachers for all my subjects in sec4 however.... the flaw is that when i was promoted to sec 3 i was put in a TRIPLE SCI CLASS DESPITE MY HIGH SCORE FOR SCIENCE! they look at my maths score instead... because if my maths is not good i cant take A maths which is in the combi for pure sci class... i felt that its not fair because i really wanted to do sci more than hist, geo all these.... so i end up with combi chem n phy, A maths, combine social studies n hist.... i just get over with it n study...
then one day... one of my teacher told me... they want us to take combine sci so that we can score well instead of taking pure sci n fight with all the RI n RGS ppl... wont get A1 so easily compare to combine sci... then i was like wau why u all so ranking minded!? i take A maths also fight with top sch and even though i got a low score for math in sec 2 but i scored A2 for my A maths in the end!! with combine sci i can never do double sci in JC and if i were to go uni n want to do lifesci i have no bio background... and my dear teacher convince us that lifesci is the way to go n ask the whole class to go poly n do lifesci... well majority listened n most of us screwed up our path...
perhaps walking on the wrong let u realised how u should choose ur path ahead more carefully :)
its poly open house!!! and i am looking at all the poly advert... its not because i am from NP n i am bias but seriously... the SP poster look so cheap! the wording is like use microsoft powerpoint do and the models... *shake head* and for TP... one poster is like copy the ITE poster... u slowly figure out... and another of their poster... the words cover the guy face! wat is the point of putting him in the poster if u gonna block his face with the wordings? might as well put something else! NYP poster is very average n i really dun understand the paperclip beside clipping the paper n use as antenna for the radio wat else can it be use for?? i dun see RP poster around.... at least NP poster is the decent one... they stressed that the students should be picky.. choose the right course carefully... of course it doesnt apply choosing the course in NP only but also the poly u go to and other course in poly as well... i think i am starting to study advertisement very closely... thanks to those stacks of marketing books... hahaa....
